Luigi (aka Goose)

Luigi is the ideal hiker companion. he is very sweet and loves affection. He's delightful on walks and has a gentle personality. He is curious and an excited greeter who can sometimes be jumpy but only for the first few seconds of meeting someone, he's learning to be better. He loves to be with his human and loves to lounge and have chill mellow days. Luigi is really up for anything you are, he will meet you in the middle for a fun or easy going day. Luigi loves the outdoors to go on hikes and walks. But he also like mellow days in the couch. Food is his hobby, he loves food a little too much. We think maybe he was deprived of food in his early life before shelter life and with his previous owner. He is learning to not take table scraps. Meeting new people and getting along with other dogs appears to be his fun activities. He's still learning to be properly socialized but he's a natural. Luigi would be well suited for a home that can be adventurous with him He's still young and he needs that outdoor fun exercise time to live a fulfilling life. If you live an active lifestyle, Luigi will be right by your side. After his exercise needs are met, he'll lounge with you on the couch for some TV quality time. His potential owner should be able to handle 50lbs and German Shepherd experience would be a plus. Someone who has rescued dogs before would also be ideal. Luigi is still young at 1 year old. He has so much to learn and his potential owner should be ready to teach him the ways of life with training. He can benefit from impulse control to help with some of his excitement. He housebroken and has even learned to let you know when he has to go by tapping his nose on the door. Now that is talent! Luigi is currently being fostered and he needs a home soon. He was being taken care of at the Palmdale shelter where he got medical care and vaccines until he got rescued in March 10th, 2026. Overall, he is healthy other than the preventative care checkups. He still has to be neutered and scheduled to be neutered June 1, 2026. He is under rescue All Paws K9 Rescue. Currently he is the only dog at home and we don't know how he will be with other dogs in the home. However, he is generally dog friendly outside the home. Slow introductions are always recommended when adding a new do to the home with other dogs. Training can always be beneficial to Luigi or any dog for that matter. Luigi eats really fast so monitoring his meals is a good practice.
